Hargeisa – (QN24) – Al-Wataniyah Flour Company In Somaliland Has Said That It Owns A Wheat Ship , Which The Ukrainian Government Previously Said It Helped Somalia.
The Chairman Of Al-Wataniyah Flour Company, Ahmed Farah Harbi, said differently than the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy , that the wheat ship belongs to Al-Wataniyah.
“The BBC reported that aid wheat was shipped from Ukraine to Somalia. The news that the wheat is going to Somalia is not news, it is wheat coming to Berbera owned by the Al-Wataniya company,” said Harbi.
Harbi said that the wheat ship is not aid to Somalia but wheat to Al-Wataniyah Company, which they bought from Ukraine.
“That ship brought to the company 28,774 metric tons of wheat, which the company bought, and the company’s wheat opened an LC from the East African Bank in Djibouti, which is part of the Dahabshiil Group, and it is not a helper,” said Harbi.
President Zelenskyy posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday yesterday that a ship of 28,600 metric tons of wheat will soon arrive in Somalia.
Therefore, there is some difference between the number of 28,600 metric tons reported by Zelenskyy and the number reported by Harbi which is 28,774, and there is a difference of 174 tons. and if they are talking about the same Ship.
