The Government Of Somaliland Has Accused Ethiopian Forces Of Invading Somaliland.

Hargeisa -(QN24) – The 108th Session Of The Council Of Ministers Of The Republic Of Somaliland, Which Was Chaired By The President Of The Republic Of Somaliland, His Excellency Muse Bihi Abdi, And Accompanied By The Vice President, Mr. Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail (Zeili’i), Discussed Various Issues, And Also Heard Reports From Some Of The Council Ministers.

The Articles Of The Meeting Were As Follows:-

1). On December 26-27-28, 2022 throughout Somaliland Preparations were being made for The Registration of voters for the Elections, and the Sool region was one of the regions where the Preparations were underway in the Republic of Somaliland, and it coincided with the violence that took place in the city of LasAnod, the purpose of which was was to destroy democracy and the Electoral system, peace, development, fight against Terrorism and fight against Piracy which Somaliland has become famous for, which Somaliland has testified to The International Community that no acts of Piracy have ever happened on Somaliland’s shores.

2). That the Sool Region, especially the city of LasAnod, leave the armed forces that have Crossed The International Border of the Republic of Somaliland, such as those of the Somali Regional Government of Puntland, the various forces that the governments have trained for the Federal Government of Somalia and those who have Arrived Ethiopian Somali Regional Government:-

3). The Government of Somaliland is always ready to resolve the issue of LasAnod through dialogue, by implementing the Unconditional ceasefire announced by the Government.

4). The council urges the people of Somaliland and the International Organizations to strengthen the humanitarian aid they provide to the people displaced from LasAnod, which the Government is ready to facilitate any assistance to those people.

5). The Council commends the Somaliland National Army for their commitment and the implementation of the government’s decision to remain in their positions.
