Hargeisa – (QN24) – Journalist Busharo Ali Bandai, Who Was Released Yesterday By The Marodi-jex Regional Court In Somaliland, Said That She Was Illegally Detained For 3 Months And Finally Got Justice.

Bandai Was Released From Prison Yesterday After She Was Sentenced To 1 Year In Prison By The Court.

“My Detention Was Illegal. I Believe That I Was Detained Illegally For 3 Months. Today I Got Justice And I am Free, But It Took 3 Months, I Say Justice That Lasts Is Injustice,” Bandai Told Galaydh Media.

She Said that She Was Accused Of Many Crimes That She Did Not Commit, Including That She Was Involved In Activities To Destroy Somaliland, Which She Was Later acquitted Of.

On the other hand, she thanked all the people who worked hard for Her Release, Including Parliamentarians, some Leaders of Opposition parties and Organizations, Media, and International Organizations.

The Journalist, who was famous for criticizing the government of President Bihi, was arrested on May 25 In The Border Town Of Wajale, when she came from the British Empire. She was in Prison For More Than 3 Months, Before She Was Sentenced Yesterday.
